There’s always something going on in our homes. A key part of our philosophy is centered on providing different activities for our residents, and these are run by our dedicated Activity Co-ordinators. We don’t just stick to a prescribed list, we listen to you and your loved ones to find out your hobbies and favourite activities. We can then develop a programme to suit all tastes, both in and out of the home. See for yourself on our Facebook page what we have been up to recently.
As an independent family-run home, we can be responsive to all needs. Our residents shape our activities programme and we’re always looking for new ideas to broaden our offering even further. If you want to go to church on a Sunday, we will take you there, if you enjoy the cinema, theatre or sporting events, we organise regular outings. As well as going out and about, life is busy inside the homes too, with regular exercise and craft activities, quizzes and games, to name just a few. And we have a schedule of live entertainment twice a week in each home, which is a particular favourite for residents and staff alike. We also have regular visits from local groups, including the Brownies and schools providing entertainment.
We never forget a birthday and we want to ensure that this day is special for every resident. Our chefs always prepare a delicious cake, and we try to link up with one of our outside groups to make sure there is music and singing to help us celebrate these special occasions.
On Fridays, we offer a drinks trolley service in our lounges with a selection of soft drinks and wine, beers and spirits.
Our staff members are always here to help for - with their caring nature and willingness to learn they strive for continuous improvement to make sure your dignity and, most importantly, your choice at the forefront of care is delivered.
"It was an honour to spend two weeks respite care at Little Court. Staff made me very welcome and my newly decorated suite was wonderful. It was humbling to watch staff handle the residents, some with dementia. It really felt like home and I wish them the very best in the future. Well done!"
